Magnus Carlsen
Magnus Carlsen is a Norwegian chess grandmaster and the current World Chess Champion. He was born on November 30, 1990 in Tønsberg, Norway. Carlsen first learned to play chess at the age of five, and quickly showed a prodigious talent for the game. By the age of 13, he had been awarded the title of grandmaster, making him the second youngest grandmaster in history at the time.Carlsen's first major tournament win came in 2004, when he won the C group at the Corus chess tournament in Wijk aan Zee, Netherlands.
